Embracing the Beauty of Now

Embracing the Beauty of Now

It’s Friday afternoon, and I’m actually excited to put the laundry away. Sounds crazy, right? But when you have kids, you know exactly what it feels like to tackle pile after pile of clothes.

As I fold and put things in their place, I can’t help but reflect on how much joy these everyday moments bring. Ten years ago, I might not have seen it this way. Back then, my mind was filled with big dreams—writing, speaking, starting a business. And honestly, there were times when I wondered if I was missing out.

But here’s what I’ve learned: you are not missing out.

The life you think is mundane—the daily routines, the simple moments—they are a gift. They are beautiful. Every meal you prepare, every load of laundry you fold, every bedtime story you read is creating memories. These moments with your little ones, with your family, are treasures.

This year, as I turn 40, I’m stepping out in faith and finally pursuing those dreams I held onto for so long. But as I do, I realize that my life has never been on hold. God has been writing a beautiful story all along. The moments I once saw as ordinary—baking bread, homeschooling, washing dishes—were never about being stuck. They were about being blessed.

If you’re in a season of life where you feel like you should be doing “more,” take a deep breath. The dreams you have? They’re still there. And in time, God will unfold them in ways you never imagined. But right now, don’t miss the beauty of today. Hold those babies close. Soak in the laughter, the mess, the love. These moments are precious, and they won’t last forever.

Whatever season you’re in, trust that God’s plan for you is unfolding. You may not see the full picture yet, but He does. Stay faithful, stay present, and know that your now is beautiful. Your tomorrow is beautiful. There is no need to fear—God is leading you every step of the way.

You are right where you’re meant to be. And it is a gift.
